Isaiah 55:9
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” ESV
In the context, Yahweh invites Israel to repent. This verse describes God’s incredible forgiveness, not his omniscience. We are reluctant to forgive. We may put offenders on probation or even bring up offenses that have already been dealt with. We may refuse to forgive certain offenses. God is not like that. Despite all the abominable sins Israel had done, God offered full pardon. Let us be thankful that his ways are higher than ours.
